Resilience through recession: Acas and CIPD unveil people management summit agenda
CIPD, Workplace Problems, Equality, Resilience throught recessionAcas, the employment relations service, and the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) have revealed the line up and agenda for their joint summit, set to take place in London on the 11th June.
The conference will feature a range of high-profile speakers, providing guidance on the critical role of people management in the recession.

Business leaders, managers, HR specialists and other delegates will benefit from keynote speeches from several industry leaders including Ed Sweeney (Acas Chair), Jackie Orme (CIPD Chief Executive), John Philpott (CIPD Director of Public Policy) Frances O'Grady (TUC Deputy General Secretary) and Chris Humphries, Chief Executive (UK Commission for Employment and Skills).
In addition, interactive seminars will be staged, addressing themes such as the line managers' role in supporting learning, managing stress and reducing workplace conflict. Attendees will also see examples of good-practice employment relations, with live case study sessions including West Midlands Police, Southern Trains, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and Vosper Thornycroft.
